Getting there
Central Costa Rica, Easy to Reach
Fly into Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José (SJO). Bella Vista is about 1 hour 15 minutes away in the mountains between San Ramón and Esparza. Our caretakers can pick your group up at the airport, help you stock up on groceries, and bring you straight to the resort — closer and easier to reach than the far Guanacaste beach venues.

How many pickleball courts are there?
Four private courts, reserved exclusively for your group — no sharing, no waiting.
Can we rent the whole resort?
Yes — Bella Vista is a private whole-property buy-out. The courts, pool, jacuzzi, and all 10 bedrooms are yours alone.
If we don't rent out the whole property, would we need to share the courts?
Yes, if there are other guests that have rented other houses on the property during your stay then we would ask you to share the courts with the same etiquette that you would use on shared public courts.
How many people can stay?
Up to 28 guests across 10 bedrooms — ideal for clubs, families, and corporate groups.
When is the best time to come?
It is always the best time to come to Costa Rica. During the green season, it usually rains some time during the day, but the mornings and evening are usually sunny. And if rain ever keeps you off the courts, there are covered courts about 25 minutes away — and for groups that have rented the whole property, we'll help arrange them and cover the court rental for up to 4 courts for up to 2 hours (or up to 2 courts for up to 4 hours) per rained-out day — meaning a day when the rain sets in early and keeps you from playing here at the property.
Do you handle airport pickup, meals, and excursions?
Yes. We arrange airport transfers, can help with meals and groceries, and set up excursions to waterfalls, hot springs, and cloud forests.
Do you offer coaching, or can we bring our own?
Bring your own coaches, or we'll connect you with local coaches in Costa Rica. The 4 private courts make Bella Vista an ideal venue for coaches to host their own clinics and pickleball retreats.
